Do you wind yarn?

We wind yarn upon request.  There is no charge for winding yarn that you buy from our store.  If you order online, please leave us a note with your request to wind your skeins prior to shipping.  Please see the section below for yarn not purchased at our store.

 

Where is my order?

You can find the most up-to-date status of your order by using the tracking number assigned to your order.

 

My order states it has been delivered but I have not received it.

Please send us an email to team@l2d2yarn.com with your name and order number and we will look into the delay.  

 

Do you only ship to the US and Canada?

We ship around the world!  Please be aware that there may be additional customs charges in certain countries.  Please check your local customs policies before placing your order. 

 

I wanted to have my order delivered via the "No-Contact Porch" delivery method, but you do not deliver to my city.

Due to resources, we can only offer delivery to cities that are nearby our store in Palos Heights.  

 

I chose In-Store Pickup at checkout.  How will I know when I can pick up my order?

Once your order is ready for pickup our system will notify you that your order is ready.  If you want to pick up your items the same day you order, and we are open that day, please give us a call at 1.708.631.3281.  We will do our best to have your order ready that same day.

 

I saw a finished item or model in one of your videos/pictures.  Can I buy a kit to make one of my own?

Yes, please send us an email with all the details and we will create a special order for you.

 

Do you sell any finished items?

From time to time, we will have some finished items for purchase at the store.  

 

Can I stop by your store if I need help with a project?

Please call us to schedule a time for us to help you with your project.

 

Can I get help with my project if I did not buy the yarn at your store?

We have chosen and tested every brand that we carry at the store to ensure that it will work well with the majority of projects.  When purchasing yarns from our store we are better able to make recommendations for your projects.

While we would prefer that you purchase yarn for your project at our store, we will not turn anyone away when help is needed.  However, since we may not have worked with the yarn you are using, we will avoid doing/suggesting certain methods to reduce the possibility of you damaging your yarn.

 

Do you wind yarn that that I bought at a different store?

We accept yarn winding requests on a case-by-case basis.  We do this to ensure that your yarn will not be damaged by our equipment.

If we determine that we will be able to wind your yarn, we charge a minimum of $3 plus $1 for any portion of 100 yards after the first 300 yards.  That means that if your skein is 420 yards, we will charge you $5 to wind that skein.  If your skeins are 300 yards or less, we will charge you $3 for each skein.

 

Do you provide finishing services?

At this moment we do not offer finishing services.
